Human Fossils
   and Evolution

Human: ... of or belonging to the species Homo sapiens.

Ultimately the creation vs. evolution controversy is regarding the origin of humans. Evolution is a theory that is attempting to explain our existence through atheistic mechanisms. The theory proposes that life originated abiogenetically, and organisms evolved into increasingly more complex forms eventually giving rise to humans. Creationists on the other hand, typically interpret the Genesis account literally, and believe that humans were created at the beginning along with the many kinds of organisms required to sustain life on earth. Although humans are made with the same biochemistry, we are distinct from animals and subject to God's judgment.

Humans adapt to their environment along with all other life forms. Presumably we looked somewhat differently before the flood, and there is the account of the Nephilim suggesting some were strikingly different. Humans have also evolved into many races following the flood. The distinct human races indicate these groups speciated for a time, and it is possible this was largely driven by the division into various language groups that occurred following the construction of the tower of Babel.

Genesis 11:4-9 Then they said, "Come, let us build ourselves a city, and a tower with its top in the heavens, and let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth." And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the sons of men had built. And the LORD said, "Behold, they are one people, and they have all one language; and this is only the beginning of what they will do; and nothing that they propose to do will now be impossible for them. Come, let us go down, and there confuse their language, that they may not understand one another's speech." So the LORD scattered them abroad from there over the face of all the earth, and they left off building the city. Therefore its name was called Ba'bel, because there the LORD confused the language of all the earth; and from there the LORD scattered them abroad over the face of all the earth.

According to the account of the flood, all organisms on earth were destroyed during the global flood following 1500 years of co-habitation. If correct, fossils should continuously surface indicating that humans and animals lived much earlier than previously thought. Artifacts from humans have been found throughout the geological column, but such findings are automatically dismissed. Eventually undeniable proof that humans lived at the same time as the dinosaurs may eventually surface.

Evolved from Apes?

• NEBRASKA MAN: This amazing discovery was found to be nothing more than a pig's tooth.
• LUCY: The remains of Lucy have been reclassified as an extinct ape.
• PILTDOWN MAN: These bones were proven to be a deliberate hoax. A human skull was attached to an ape jaw and weatherd to look old.

• JAVA MAN: These bones were found to be the remains of an ape and human mixed together. Its discoverer later rejected his find.
• PEKING MAN: Again, a mixup of human and ape bones.
